Jungle Theme Behavior Chart!

Hello All, I have finally finished putting together my Jungle Theme Behavior Chart. I am so excited to use this in my classroom this year. Since I cannot get into my classroom for another 2 weeks I decided to hang it from my curtain rod for the pictures. The system works like this: Each child starts everyday on Happy Hippopotamus, this is acceptable behavior for the classroom. The child can then move up or down from there depending on their behavior choices. I have included the list of acceptable/unacceptable behaviors that I intend to give to my families as well as a full explaination of how I intend to use this chart. I give several ways to assemble this chart in the packet using magnets, ribbon and/or laminating. I chose to use page protectors and binder clips for my classroom. I chose the page protectors so that I could store the small reinforcer graphics for rewards inside the chart. I punched both sides of each card inside the page protector with ...

How to create a themed patterning calendar!

Hello Everyone, I am so excited to show you my newest unit I have been working on perfecting this unit with new ideas and some old favorites. One of my favorite parts of this unit is the patterning calendar. This is a calendar that uses the number cards to introduce a pattern, in this case sports balls create an ABC pattern that repeats for the entire month. Below are step by step instructions on how the put together the calendar on poster board. 1. Get a large piece of poster board or tape 4 pieces of 12x12 cardstock together in the color of your choice. 2. Cut out your calendar pieces, make sure to print out three of the blank boxes page to assemble the grid. 3. Glue the Month banner on top. Write the month in the mddle of the banner or wait until after you laminate then use dry erase markers. 4. Glue your days of the week bars under the month banner. 5. Trim around all sides of first grid page. 6. Trim the second page so that 2 sides are left on. 7. Use a small ...

All five bugs are included to use for measurement each in a different size. Use them to measure the tree, complete the classroom common items worksheet and encourag parents to let their child measure objects at home with them. Compare and contrast the results, which items are longer/shorter, taller etc. I have/Who has 1-100 and ABC to play with your students. This game is great for number and ABC order. Staple in my classroom! Print out these jars and use the bugs below to match the correct number to its word, record the proper word on the included recording sheet. This activity can be printed and laminated for years of use or copied in black and white, stapled and completed as a booklet. Number words and numbers 1-50 are included. This is also included as a sigh...

Valentines Day Decor-Fruits of the Spirit

I have a shelf outside of my classroom for lunchboxes and sign in sheets. I decided for Valentines day to put a bulletin board set on the wall above with mavelous tape. Each of the hearts has one f the fruits of the spirits on it (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faith and self-control from Galations in the Bible) if you are a secular school you could put the name of your students on the hearts instead. I think this set is from Carson Dellosa. Also on my table is a cereal box covered with board paper and labeled love notes. There are markers and paper hearts there for the parents to write their kiddos a little love note. Then I read a few each day in class until Valentines Day.
